CKS
CKS is an application that supplements the AFS search engine by providing functions for monitoring, reorganizing, sharing and delivering information. CKS lets each user reorganize and annotate the information according to his own requirements, without having to modify the underlying applications and data sources.
CKS thereby allows every user:
- to create thematic folders for each subject, to organize his queries and reference documents;
- to save his searches and associate them with thematic folders; select searches in order to receive automatic alerts;
- bookmark key documents, annotate them and store them in folders;
- share folders between users, thus creating powerful collaborative networks within the enterprise and promoting the emergence of groups of experts.
CKS provides vital functions for knowledge valuation, in a simple but essential tool to organize the knowledge of users and experts and to structure their communities.
