Le Point is a generalist weekly newsmagazine, founded in 1972. In November 1999, it launched its website, LePoint.fr.
/ Challenge
LePoint.fr is an extremely content-rich site, containing approximately 15,000 pages. To improve information access and service quality for its Internet visitors, LePoint.fr wanted to integrate a search solution capable of:
- processing multiple data flows (internal and external),
- linking the information from these multiple sources (Reuters, their own articles),
- ensuring scalability to serve a growing readership and to handle exceptional traffic peaks caused by major news events.
/ The Antidot response
Antidot's AFS@Publishing package responds precisely to the issues faced by Le Point.
In particular, ACCLivefeed provides an innovative solution with outstanding performance, allowing articles from Le Point to be linked in "real time" with Reuters news dispatches.
This novel functionality allows users to navigate through more than one year of Le Point archives, automatically linked with current news. Each news dispatch from Reuters is analyzed and associated with the articles from Le Point covering the same subject.
